Neptune in Pattaya had a quality training for an affordable price.
Back in 2005, dive center emerged as one of the best diving centers in Pattaya.
With its commitment to providing quality training at an affordable price, it quickly became a favorite among diving enthusiasts. While the center has been closed for a few years now, it left an indelible mark on the diving community. The place offered a comprehensive range of services designed to cater to the needs of divers of all levels. Whether you were a beginner looking to get certified or an experienced diver seeking new adventures, the center had something for everyone. Let's take a closer look at the services that made it a renowned name in the industry.
One of the standout features was its state of the art cylinder filling station. Equipped to handle various gases, including air, clean air, nitrox, and trimix blends, the station could fill cylinders up to a maximum pressure of 300 bar. However, it was important for customers to provide evidence of their nitrox/trimix qualifications to access these specialized gases. Safety was a top priority, and the center ensured that all cylinders presented for filling were in proper condition and displayed the necessary markings.
Divers visiting Neptune were also in for a treat when it came to equipment sales. The center was a true haven for rebreather SCR/CCR divers, offering an extensive selection of CE approved rebreather parts. The knowledgeable staff at the dive center provided expert advice to divers, ensuring they had everything they needed for their underwater adventures. For those who didn't have their own equipment, Neptune Dive Center offered up to date rental equipment from reputable brands such as Seaman Sub, Scubapro, Aqualung, Suunto, and OMS. The rental gear was meticulously maintained by the center's own equipment technicians, guaranteeing optimal performance and safety. The center provided cylinders of various sizes, ranging from 3 to 15 liters, which were filled only by their fully trained staff.
When it came to diving, they provided access to Pattaya and Sammae San dive sites on a daily basis, with the exception of January 1st and Thai New Year (April 19th). The center emphasized the importance of declaring any diving projects, other than instruction and general sport diving, to ensure safety and coordination with the duty Divemaster.
To enhance the diving experience, Neptune boasted fully equipped dive boats. These boats stood out for their versatility and allowed a maximum of 15 divers per trip, ensuring there was no overcrowding. The center's commitment to safety was evident, with their boats equipped with ship to shore radios, telephones, and the presence of Dive Medics personnel recognized by ANDY, along with MFA kits and oxygen units onboard. Transfers to and from hotels were also included, ensuring a seamless diving experience. Aside from the exhilarating underwater exploration, the center understood the importance of good food. They catered to divers' appetites with a selection of European and Thai cuisine, providing filling meals as part of the diving trips. Soft drinks were freely available, and non divers had the option to purchase alcoholic beverages.
To ensure personalized attention and a safe diving experience, Neptune Dive Center kept dive groups small, with a maximum of five people led by a qualified Divemaster or Instructor. However, if divers preferred to dive with a specific qualified buddy, the staff would provide a detailed dive briefing and advice on the dive plan.
It also offered technical services, with skilled technicians capable of handling repairs and servicing. Known for their expertise and experience, the technicians would address any equipment issues promptly, aiming to resolve them while customers waited. Whether it was a broken piece of gear or routine maintenance, the technicians were among the most qualified and experienced in Pattaya. Divers could trust that their equipment would be in top shape for their next dive adventure.
What set it apart from other diving centers in Thailand was its status as the country's only rebreather center offering rental cylinders for all four units: Dräger Dolphin/Atlantis SCR, Inspiration CCR, Evolution CCR, and Megalodon CCR. Divers interested in rebreather diving had the convenience of renting cylinders and accessing spare parts directly from the center. The availability of DiveSorb (Sofnolime) in various sizes ensured that divers had the necessary absorbent material for their rebreathers.
The center's location at Neptune Dive Center and Fairtex Sport Club and Resort, situated at 179/201, Moo 5, North Pattaya Road, Pattaya (Naklua), 20150, Chonburi, Thailand, provided a convenient hub for diving enthusiasts.
Unfortunately, despite its stellar reputation and commitment to quality, the shop closed its doors a few years ago. However, the memories and experiences shared by divers who had the opportunity to visit this exceptional diving center still linger. The center's dedication to providing quality training, top notch equipment, and personalized service at an affordable price made it a standout choice for divers in Pattaya.
While it may no longer be in operation, its legacy as one of the best diving centers in Pattaya remains intact. Divers who had the privilege of exploring the underwater wonders of the region with Neptune scuba dive undoubtedly cherish the memories and the exceptional experiences they had there.
As the diving community continues to evolve and new centers emerge, Neptune Dive Center will be remembered as a symbol of quality training and adventure in the underwater realm.
