Have been coming to Thailand for a long time and have come across several people, both Thais and foreigners people who determined the appearance on the streets, mainly in Pattaya. I am trying to recall some people. I have come across many nice, eccentric foreigners in this beautiful place.

And we had the homeless foreigner, this man usually hung out on the Soi Bua Khao area, near Soi Leng Kee and Soi Diana. What happened that he was like this or what he did is a mystery, I don't know.

This man is also in my memory. Every day at night he was on Walking Street. Very often I would meet this man in his wheelchair and he would try to sell his handmade flower necklaces.
Snooker legend Jimmy White.
Jimmy White was often in Pattaya and Thailand. Every time he had to play a tournament in the Far East he make a stop in Thailand. The snooker legend was then a welcome guest in many places.
Jimmy White is a legendary English professional snooker player who has been associated with Pattaya for several years. He is a six-time runner-up in the World Snooker Championship, and has won many other major titles throughout his career.

Elvis also lived in Pattaya, the Thai version you could see walking down the Walking Street almost every night. He was very good at posing for the tourists but I have never heard his voice.

Some familiar faces of the foreign police volunteers from a while ago who were often on Walking Street. Perhaps you were in Pattaya and recognize one of the familiar personalities.

What also sticks in my mind is the girl who walked through the streets of Pattaya heavily maked up and screaming. She always got a pack of cigarettes from me. She had suffered brain damage, there are many rumours about this, but wat is the truth! She looked weird and scary, had a brain damage but she didn't hurt anyone.

An unknown to many, but to the expats and those who have lived there longer, could and do know this "friendly looking," solidly built, Thai "policeman." There are many foreigners, especially with businesses in Pattaya, who are good friends with this man.

And there, of course, was the jolly looking and special cyclist, this man always rode a colorful and flowery bicycle through Pattaya, and was was a part of the streetscape. Everyone who stayed for a long time knew this biker, at one point he was no more, just as many were suddenly no more. The last I heard the 'Golden Man' or 'Pattaya Glitter Man' was returned to Wimbledon in England.
This person was a local character in Pattaya who is known for riding a bicycle decorated with glitter or other colorful decorations. In many cities, it is common for local characters to become popular for their unique personalities, costumes, or modes of transportation. These individuals can help to add to the vibrant and eclectic atmosphere of a city, and they can also become popular attractions in their own right.
Tim 'Sharky' Ward.
And who doesn't know Sharky. His real name is Tim Ward and a household name. A tattooed money collector who lived here and had/has a big presence on social media. What I know is that he gives food to the street dogs in Pattaya.
Tim Ward returned from Pattaya to the Gold Coast during the Covid pandemic, where he has undergone a drastic transformation.
Tony, the well know business man.
And who doesn't know him, the famous Tony. When you came driving into Pattaya you saw him, on the very big ad of "Tony's Entertainment Complex" You just couldn't miss that. Tony started that with many other clubs in Pattaya. Then Tony's fitness was added, the Tony's Lido Grand hotel and Lido Motel, also the Tony's Food court. A very famous name with a lot of business here and also in Bangkok.

And you had Niels Colov, knew him from my first time in Pattaya. This Danish man had built an empire, ran a newspaper, a radio program and he was head of the tourist police.

We know there are funny characters walking around. This is Sandy Andy, an English man in his mid-forties, He was walking around the area of Soi Bua Khao and Soi LK Metro around 2006/2007. Here he is visiting Pook at Pook Swan House and at the Stags Head.
Famous and funny people you have everywhere in the world. Pattaya is a great and beautiful place, with everything you want and a great place to live and spend your time for a nice vacation despite the presence of many foreigners.
