As part of the refurbishment, the iconic escalators that once ferried excited revelers to the disco were removed. Instead, visitors had to climb more than 20 stairs, just like in the early '90s, to reach the venue. The renovation aimed to evoke a sense of nostalgia, harking back to the earlier days of the Marine night club, and it successfully did so, eliciting fond memories for many.

Among its memorable establishments, the Chippy Village fish and chips restaurant holds a special place in the hearts this place residents. Later, it made way for Michael Kebab, showcasing the dynamic nature of the city's culinary scene and the constant evolution of its cultural landscape.
