R.I.P. 17-07-2017, Pieter Hoovers and his Thai wife Tae Hoovers R.I.P.
The bodies of Pieter Hoovers, 54, and his 33 year old Thai wife, Tae, were discovered on July 17, 2017, at 1:30 PM. However, it is believed that they were murdered on the evening of Saturday, July 15. Surveillance footage from that Saturday evening shows them arriving on their scooter at their apartment, marking the last known footage of them alive.
An hour later, at 9:40 PM, a man carrying two large bags, one in each hand, arrived. Apparently aware of the nearby cameras, he concealed his face and entered the apartment. No signs of forced entry were found, indicating that Hoovers and his wife likely let him in. Once inside, he fatally shot his victims.
Never forget this wonderful people.
A Dutch TV crime show has released footage of the suspected perpetrator. The bags appear to be heavy, but this cannot be confirmed. When the suspect left the building, he carried both bags in one hand. Viewers were not informed about the duration of his stay inside the apartment. According to a known acquaintance, Petrus Cornelis Martinus Hoovers had numerous contacts in the Amsterdam underworld. He was suspected of betraying John Mieremet.
Hoovers owned a beach venue Hoek van Holland in Thailand, which was frequented by Dutch criminals, as reported by the newspaper. Mieremet also visited the place often, having fled to Thailand after an assassination attempt by Willem Holleeder in Amsterdam. Mieremet believed he was safe in Thailand but was allegedly betrayed by Hoovers, who tipped off the Holleeder camp, as described by a newspaper. Hoovers had made several trips to Amsterdam shortly before Mieremet's murder and was found to have possessed a significantly larger sum of money afterward.
Even the authorities suspected Hoovers in this regard. Although no formal charges were ever filed, the accusation remained associated with Hoovers, according to a newspaper. Hoovers could have been a troublesome witness against Holleeder, who has been charged with involvement in Mieremet's murder. A reward of €20,000 has been offered by the authorities for any valuable information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
