Website banners memories

The popular banner was often used and found on Thai related websites.

It goes back about twenty years and that time it was popular in the years that followed. Many websites around 2002/2003 and the years after had a 468/60 banner on the site with the name of the company or something like that.

It was also normal to have some kind of link page, a friends page and you can also call it resources, on that page many banners were placed with the link to the respective website. The sites did this to generate more traffic and to get higher in the google search engine. Today there are not so many websites with these 468/60 banners anymore.

What is a banner in a website.

In a website they refers to a prominent graphical element displayed at the top of a webpage. It is typically a wide and horizontal strip that spans the full width of the page or a significant portion of it. They are used to convey important information, attract attention, and engage users.

Website banners often serve various purposes.

Branding.

Navigation.

Banners can be utilized to highlight important announcements, such as upcoming events, product launches, or limited time promotions.

Calls to Action (CTAs).

Website ads often feature compelling CTAs, encouraging users to take specific actions like signing up for a newsletter, making a purchase, or exploring a particular section of the site.

Banners can be designed using various visual elements, such as images, text, animations, or a combination of these. They play a crucial role in capturing users' attention, conveying key messages, and enhancing the overall user experience on a website.

On this page I have placed the ones that were used in Thailand back for a long time, maybe some are still in use and you can find them online but think the chance is small, it is all from long ago. By long ago I mean from 10/15/20 years ago.

Should there be any (site)owners who do not appreciate the banner from the past being placed here, please let me know and I will remove the banner.

It is just fun for the Thailand visitors, and especially those who have been dealing with Thailand for a long time and also follow the internet for a while to reminisce. Just memories from the past.
