Good guys go to heaven, bad guys go to Pattaya.
This statement is a common saying often used in a humorous or sarcastic way. It suggests that Pattaya, a city in Thailand known for its nightlife and entertainment, is a place where people who engage in questionable or immoral behavior may go to indulge in those activities.
However, it is important to recognize that this statement is a generalization and does not accurately represent the diverse and complex nature of Pattaya or its residents. Pattaya is home to many good and honest people, as well as a thriving tourism industry that attracts visitors from all over the world for a variety of reasons.
It is also worth noting that the statement perpetuates negative stereotypes and may be considered offensive or insensitive to some individuals. It is important to be mindful of the language we use and the messages we convey, and to strive to be respectful and inclusive in our interactions with others.
Different kind of problems.
I'm trying to say that life in this great place is not easy when you get into trouble, and I mainly mean the mental part, your condition and your psyche. It's not called the largest adult playground in the world for nothing. And a lot of people can't handle that very well if things don't go well for a while. For example, that can be financial problems, falling in love and finding out that it is a big stage play, the drink from boredom can ensure that you can become an alcoholic very quickly.
These are just a few examples, and you usually don't find out until you're here for a longer period of time. The holidaymaker for 2 or 3 weeks will not see this problems. They are only busy with their holidays and to have fun, to eat good food, to relax and to do nice things, and they are absolutely right, it is also better not to know.
Another one of the real stories; With your boyfriend at Walking Street,
There you are, with your 'nice handsome boyfriend' at the busy Walking Street, has drunk so much that he can't do anything anymore. This can happened everywhere, so also here too in Pattaya and the foreigner think later; 'She took good care of me, she really likes me'.
Think about yourself and always protect yourself.
A holiday maker can fall into the trap and fall for the wrong woman, you have probably heard it; "Mine is different". Of course not everyone is the same, but the most girls come here to earn money for the family and the baby. Usually they come from the Isaan, I call it the largest camping in the North East of Thailand. Don't get me wrong; they come to work here and 99% of those working girls will do anything to make you believe that they are really in love with you.
And it can happen, and I know some good happy story's as well, that you are very lucky to meet someone who really has a feeling for you from the heart, but the chance of a winning ticket in the Thai lottery is greater.
I don't know what happened, but I have a hunch. This man is not having a good time at all and it is probably because heartbreak. Thought he might have found the love of his life in Pattaya, but it turned out completely different.
Man is stressed, looks unhappy.
This man probably has some problems with himself, maybe he thought he had found the love of his life in Pattaya and found out it wasn't mutual after all.
Before you know you are involved in problems; Take Care.
In most cases, ladies are involved in the "farang" problems, directly or indirectly. Either you are bankrupt and all your savings are gone and you even had to sell your house in your home country. Or you became an alcoholic because you can't handle the behavior of these women it goes so far that there are many suicides among the foreigners mainly in the touristic places very bad if you have come this far to do that very bad are they suicides the falls of the balconies for example, I don't know, I'm allowed to have my doubts about that, it's quite possible, but when I hear that there may be a life insurance policy behind it, I start to have my doubts too. It's very bad and it's very quickly reported as suicide without investigation.
Be happy and enjoy when you are here.
I have seen this so many times that there is a couple, I mean a Thai woman with a foreigner sitting somewhere and arguing. You can see it far in advance in the attitude, style, behavior and facial expression of the Thai girls. It is a pleasure to watch this play game from the girls.
Thai lady with a young foreigner arguing together.
Thailand, 'the land of smiles' and who doesn't love all those friendly people who just seem to smile. I know a Thai laughs at almost everything, they have a really mysterious smile. but why does a Thai always smile. For a Thai, a smile is an important non-verbal way of communicating. There are many forms of smiles that all have meaning. The Thai uses the smile as a kind of self-protection.
A smile should solve and prevent problems. Also, Thais believe that you look much more beautiful when you smile.
Does it matter if you sit with a bared upper body at a location!!
It all doesn't matter what you look like, what age you are, your behavior, your clothes, and more of that sort of thing. What does matter are your wallet and also your manners with the Thai people, act normal to them and respect a Thai at all times.
With no shirt at a bar in Pattaya.
It depends on the specific bar you are in and their dress code policy. In some bars, it may be acceptable to sit without a shirt on, while in others it may not be allowed or may be frowned upon. Additionally, it is important to consider cultural norms and expectations, as what is considered acceptable behavior in one culture may not be acceptable in another. If you are unsure whether it is acceptable to sit down without a shirt on in a particular bar, it is always a good idea to check with the staff or observe the dress of other patrons. In any case, it is important to be respectful of local customs and expectations.
Out of respect and my own value I will always wear a shirt, even if it is a sleeveless Singha shirt, haha. But for many foreigners it is normal to walk around with bare torsos or sit at a bar somewhere without shirts, these are people to me without any education.
Whether your hair is good or not, whether you put on a wig or are bald, it doesn't matter. Whether you are slim and have abs or a fat belly with excess weight; none of it matters. The most important thing is your handling, your respect and your money.
Foreigner completely lost his way and mind.
One of the many foreigners who has somehow lost control of life here in this beautiful country. Lost everything and nothing left to lose. An alcoholic with no home and lying on the street lethargic with cigarettes and a bottle of Sang Som, that's all what he has. Too pathetic for words but here in paradise, some farangs can sink very deep.
I love my Thai girlfriend.
Is this a problem in Thailand; Unpleasant smell in the heat.
You know it yourself, everyone is sweating in the tropics. But in the tropics you can leave your cool air conditioned room refreshed and within a short time there are people who are completely wet with sweat and also spread a delicious body odor.
It happens and the sweating I don't mind so much but the smell that people can give off is terrible, how people can stink, really stink. On the picture you see a foreigner with a nice pattern in his shirt, it is not fashion but it are sweat spots from not even being outside for five minutes.
I am sweating.

I don't need therapy.
The idea that a trip to Thailand can replace the benefits of therapy is a common misconception. While travel can be an enjoyable and exciting experience, it is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
Therapy offers a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insight into your behavior, and learn coping skills for managing stress and difficult situations. A therapist can provide support, guidance, and encouragement for personal growth and development.
While a vacation may provide temporary relief from stress and anxiety, the benefits are typically short lived. Therapy, on the other hand, can provide lasting changes that can improve your quality of life and overall well being.
It's important to prioritize your mental health and seek help if you're struggling. Therapy can be a valuable tool for personal growth and healing, and it can help you to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Pattaya is a popular destination for foreign visitors. Many foreigners who visit this place come for the beaches, shopping, and entertainment. However, the city is also known for its seedy side, with many bars, clubs, and other establishments that cater to a special industry.
There have been several stories in the news about foreigners, some of which involve crime and illicit activities. However, it's important to note that not all foreigners in Pattaya are involved in illegal activities. Many expats and retirees have chosen to make this city their home, attracted by the low cost of living and pleasant climate.
These individuals often lead quiet, peaceful lives, enjoying the beaches and other attractions that the city has to offer. It's important to remember that the vast majority of visitors to the city are law abiding tourists who are simply looking for a good time.
